Action Steps for Obedience in Love

If you’ve been around for a while and are still wondering how one actually takes action as an individual on any of these teachings, you are not alone. Many people who have become discouraged by the present state of the body of Christ are asking the same questions.
It is our belief that we cannot outsource our obedience in love, but that if we want to act, we must take several steps that bolster existing communities of love while we become people of love and when the time is right (only you and the Spirit know) to start building your own community of love so that we can invest in the wider community of love in Christ. Here are some basic steps to get started.
Become a Part of a Community of Love
If you are still learning to read the scriptures, listen to the Spirit of God, or have recently come out of a community primarily focused on faith or hope this is probably the best place for you to start. Here you will develop a solid understanding of your spiritual rights in Christ and who you are as an individual part of the people of God who have received mercy.
If you don’t have a local community of love, you’re more than welcome to join us online and learn until you are ready to move on to the next step of obedience.
Become an Individual Person of Love
When you have spent some time observing the people of God who have received mercy and see how they integrate the Spirit of God into every area of their life and practice, now would be a good time to start putting into practice the things you are learning. Experiment with what disciplines grab your spiritual imagination and follow the Spirit’s leading and decision making process until you find yourself filled with love for God and for your fellow siblings. This love will translate into every action being from a place of biblical love.
Gather a Community of Love
When you have become an individual of love you can now start gathering people who desire to also become people of love to yourself. These might be existing believers or unbelievers who have yet to connect the dots about God and your new found love. Remember that you may yet still be a part of that initial community of love that you joined in the first place–there is no need to leave that community in order to start gathering new prospective people of love to yourself, but it could be that at this point the Spirit may move you to inject love into a new area.
Invest in Other Communities of Love
Communities of Love add value to one another just by existing and bolstering one another but one can invest further in other communities of love by blessing them with their presence, a word from the Lord if He moves you to speak, a letter or by a financial love offering.
